The Amelia affiliate integration pays your affiliates a commission when a customer they referred books and pays for an appointment or event through Amelia. The commission follows the Amelia payment: it is approved when the booking is paid and rejected when the payment is refunded.
It works like a sale in a shop. The visitor is linked to the affiliate through an affiliate referral link, then books in your Amelia booking form, and the payment amount becomes the base for the commission.
Before you start
- The Amelia booking plugin is installed and active, with at least one service.
- The Amelia Tracking add-on is installed and active. See Pro Add-ons.
- Your affiliates have a rank with a commission rate. See Ranks.
How Amelia bookings become referrals #

The commission is calculated on the amount of the Amelia payment, with the affiliate’s rank rate.

Go to Ultimate Affiliate Pro›Integrations and find the Amelia card in the Events & Booking group.

Turns tracking for Amelia bookings on or off. The card shows Enabled while it is on.

Click Save Changes.
Pay commissions on recurring payments #
If you sell Amelia packages or services that customers pay in several installments, affiliates can earn on the later payments too. Recurring commissions work for Amelia customers who also have a WordPress account, so set up both of these:
- In Ultimate Affiliate Pro›Modules, turn on Recurring Commissions. See Recurring commissions.
- In Amelia, go to Amelia›Settings›Roles and permissions›Customer configuration and turn on Automatically create Amelia Customer user. Every Amelia customer then gets a WordPress account and stays linked to the affiliate for later payments.
Check the referrals #
Go to Ultimate Affiliate Pro›Referrals. Each paid Amelia booking from a referred customer appears with the Amelia source.

The Source Custom Name, Amelia by default.
The Amelia payment amount, for example “Order Amount: 120”.
The commission calculated from the payment amount.
Follows the Amelia payment status.
- Paid in Amelia: the referral is Approved.
- Pending or Partially paid: the referral is Pending.
- Refunded: the referral is Rejected.
Approve referrals manually
If you turn on Keep Referral Status as Pending in Ultimate Affiliate Pro›Settings›Admin Workflow, automatic approval is turned off, and you approve referrals yourself.
Test it #
- Open a private browser window and visit your site through an affiliate link, for example
yourstore.com/?ref=emma.collins. - In the same window, open your Amelia booking page, book a service and complete the payment.
- In Ultimate Affiliate Pro›Referrals, check that a referral with the Amelia source was created for the affiliate, with the right amount.
- Mark the payment as refunded in Amelia and check that the referral changes to Rejected.
See Test your affiliate program for a full test routine. Amelia itself is available on WordPress.org.
